The first appointment lasts 80-90 minutes and costs $135. This session includes a comprehensive intake interview and a first treatment. All subsequent treatments last about 50-60 minutes and cost $95. In my practice I treat only one patient at a time, so each session is dedicated entirely to your treatment.
At your first appointment I will do a thorough intake interview followed by a treatment. Most of the time patients are fully clothed on the table. It helps to wear loose comfortable clothing that can easily be pulled up over your knees and elbows. I will always explain what I am doing before I do it and I welcome any questions you may have during your treatment. I will make recommendations about how often to come for treatment as well as lifestyle changes that will help you achieve your goals.
Coverage of acupuncture depends on the specifics of your particular insurance plan. I am currently in-network with Harvard Pilgrim, Anthem and the VA. I am happy to bill those companies for you. If you have another insurance provider and you do have acupuncture benefits, I can provide a receipt for you that you can submit for re-imbursement.
Payment is due at the time of service by Cash, Check, Credit Card, HSA Card or Venmo. I have a 24 hour cancellation policy. For cancellations with less than 24 hours notice or no-shows I assess a $50 fee for the missed appointment. The fee will be waived in cases of personal illness or emergencies. If you are not feeling well the day of your appointment, please call me to discuss your symptoms because acupuncture can be a great treatment when you are sick.
